The Akyem Oda Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Ben Atadana, on Wednesday appealed to the public to volunteer vital information to the police that could lead to the arrest of suspected criminals.
He held that criminals live among the civilian population and called for cooperation to smoke them out to ensure peace and security in society.
Mr Atadana made the appeal when Nana Okoda Darko and Mr Kenny Adom-Agyekum, both US-based Ghanaians donated office equipment to the Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU) at Akyem Oda. The equipment comprised used laptop computers, furniture and curtains, all valued at more that GH¢1,000.
Presenting the items, Nana Darko expressed the hope that their little contribution would help boost the morale of the police to give off their best.
He pledged their regular assistance to the MTTU to enable it work effectively.
Mr Atadana thanked the donors for the gesture and assured residents of Akyem Oda and its environs of the readiness of the police to protect and maintain peace in the area.GNA
