Police mount search for hit-and-run driver

The police in Atwima have mounted an intensive search for a driver who knocked down and killed a pedestrian on the outskirts of Afari on the Abuakwa-Bibiani highway. The badly mutilated body of the deceased had been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for autopsy. Police Chief Superintendent Boakye Yiadom, the Divisional Commander, said the body of the man, believed to be in his 50s, was found in the early hours of Tuesday. He called on drivers to report any road accident to the police for action. Source: GNA
