The Ghana Police Service has declared a manhunt for a suspect, Fatau Motorway, who is believed to be involved in a shooting incident during violent clashes between supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Mamobi, Accra.
The clashes resulted in nine people sustaining injuries, with authorities stepping in to restore order.
In a press statement issued on Monday, October 21, the police confirmed that one suspect has already been arrested in connection with the incident.

However, Fatau Motorway remains at large, and the police have intensified efforts to locate and apprehend him.
To encourage the public to assist in the search, the police have placed a ¢20,000 bounty for any information leading to the arrest of Fatau Motorway.
The public is urged to cooperate with law enforcement by providing any relevant details that could help with the investigation.
The police have reassured the public of their commitment to maintaining peace and security, particularly in the lead-up to the 2024 general elections.
They have also called on political leaders to urge their supporters to remain calm and avoid violent confrontations.
