Political parties unhappy about low turnout for mock biometric verification
The mock voting exercise to test the efficiency of the biometric verification exercise has ended.
Turnout was generally low but reports say no major incidents were recorded.
The two-day exercise took place at polling stations in one urban center and one rural community in all regions across the country.
Muwuli Yevi Agbi of Ho based Volta Premier FM said anxious voters turned up to witness the counting of ballots after Sunday’s exercise at Kpetoe in the Adaklu Anyigbe District.
Kwabena Ampretwum of Luv FM who monitored the elections in the Ashanti region said people were enthusiastic about the exercise.
Meanwhile some political parties are expressing mixed reaction to the mock voting exercise.
They fear the low turnout has not really subjected the biometric verification equipment to the pressure they may endure when huge numbers turn up for the polls on December 7.
