Management of Prempeh College has praised the 1993 year group for refurbishing and equipping the school’s examinations office.
The Group donated a Risograph and accessories, nine Trory Bilt mowers for the houses and air-conditioners.
Headmaster of the college, Aaron Attua Gyau believes the gesture by the pioneer batch of the Senior Secondary School (SSS) system will be crucial in the delivery of quality education
He said that move has taken a huge burden on management.
“Even though we have about three risograph, we couldn’t get a functional one to carry out the work. It has come at a good time.
“It is going to strengthen our academic mission and then our performance will go up,” he said.
The College with a population of over 4,000 students has over the years been relying on the support of the old students to improve its infrastructure.
An engineer, Kwame Baah-Acheamfour, who led the Group credited their alma mater for the discipline they have exhibited in their personal and professional lives.
“What we were familiar with as students was examinations and one of the days we treasured most but we feared the most but was Saturdays, we had to weed and get to inspection. But that has groomed us to become gentlemen today.
“For both academic and domestic, those together make our “suban and nimdeɛ”, which is imbibed in us and we are always proud of and we practice,” he said.
Dignitaries, who attended the programme, included Professor Christian Agyare, Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (K NUST), who is a member of the ‘1993 Year Group’.
