The 1996-year group of Prempeh College has taken steps to mitigate the longstanding challenge of staff accommodation by handing over a 5-unit, 2-bedroom flat accommodation for non-teaching staff.
The initiative stemmed from the year group's decision to address the urgent need for proper housing, to strengthen administrative conditions of the school.
The new facility, set to benefit at least 20 staff members, will improve the working and living conditions for non-teaching staff, keeping the school effectively functional.

Prempeh College houses over four thousand students.
Non-teaching staff at the school, consisting of security personnel, groundskeepers, administrative workers, cleaners, and kitchen staff play major roles in ensuring effective control and operations of the school.
Notable conditions that can lower productivity, and disrupt the smooth operation of the school is available housing.
The executive committee of the 1996-year group of Prempeh College is helping to ensure their well-being.
President of the Year Group, Mamuda Tobrazune Seidu, says the old students embarked on the project to fulfil tbeir obligation to the alma mater.

“The fruit of our collective effort has resulted in this project. Enhancing the working environment of those who tirelessly contribute to our academic mission. It fills our hearts with pride to support our Alma matter. The journey today started with our executive committee reaching to the school and recognizing the urgent need of proper accommodation for our non-teaching staff.
"Their unwavering dedication goes unnoticed. But their role is important to the smooth running of our academic community. It is a recognition of their valuable role in fostering a conducive learning environment. We are empowering them to perform to their best. As we hand over this project, let it be the testament to our solidarity, and commitment to the Amanfuo Fraternity,” he said.
Headmaster of Prempeh College, Very Rev Lewis Asare assured of leading maintenance efforts to keep the building long enough to serve workers.

“Your quest is a good one. Because mostly, the concentration is on students. And sometimes teachers. Sometimes we forget about the nonteaching staff existence. But without the cooks, security guards etc And As a trained maintenance officer, I would admonish for a maintenance quota to support and keep the facility thriving. We will look over it very much to maintain its integrity for a long time to benefit many people,” he said.
The intervention costing 550,000 Ghana cedis came through contributions from the alumni group in categories of platinum, diamond, gold, silver and bronze, and individuals donating building materials.
Chairman of the year group's 25th Anniversary, Oppong Agyare Agyeman-Anane (SP PIZAA) says the year group will also peg a fund to support needy students.

“In 2016, when we turned 20, we donated 230 metal beds to the school and we look forward to doing more for our institution. Our task as a committee was for two purposes; to construct this five bedroom unit for non-teaching staff, and set up a scholarship fund for needy students for our school. The first one is what we have unveiled and handed over today. We plan to set up a 500,000 scholarship fund for needy students of the school,” he stated
