The Office of the President has denied reports suggesting that former Head of Public Affairs of the Ghana Army, Colonel Mbawine Atintande (Retired) has been appointed as Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency.
Reports in sections of the media had claimed Col. Atintande had been appointed to the Communications Directorate to serve under the current Head, Mr. Ben Dotsei Malor.
However, the Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani has in a statement Friday, December 12, 2014, denied reports of the appointment of a Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency.
A statement issued Friday morning said the reported appointment is false and cautioned the media to always rely on official releases from the Flagstaff House.
According to the Chief of Staff, “the said Colonel Mbawine Atintande (Rtd.) has never been and is not a staff of the Presidency, neither is he an appointee of the government.”
