President Mahama will fire the gun to start the race for the hundreds of runners from within and outside of Ghana competing for glory at the 2025 Absa Black Star Marathon.
The race will commence at the Independence 6am on Saturday, July 26 and will involve a 42.2km race.
While that is going on, other participants will also compete in a 10kilometer run/walk
This year's event will start at the Independence Square, taking participants through Danquah Circle, Sankara Interchange and the Ridge Roundabout.
The Absa Black Star Marathon is an annual event that assembles both elite, amateur and recreational runners to compete in a Marathon and a run/walk.
It is open to men and women aged 18 and over, as well as racing wheelchair participants.
