President John Dramani Mahama left Accra on Thursday night for London, where he will attend the launch of a foundation by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Mr. Mahama is attending the launch together with other heads of state from Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Senegal.
A statement signed by Presidential Spokesperson John Abdulai Jinapor reported that President Mahama will also take part in a panel discussion on Advancing Human Security for all as part of the launch.
He also plans to attend an investment discussion that will involve various European private sector players and analysts.
The statement said that President Mahama will return to Accra on Sunday, February 10 after engaging some sections of the European media to further promote Ghana as the political and business destination in Africa.
