Residents of the Brong Ahafo region had the president visit them on Friday as part of his thank you tour.
Accompanied by his wife Lordina Mahama, some ministers, as well as some members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), President John Dramani Mahama’s first stopped at the Regional Coordinating Council.
Joy FM's Presidential Correspondent Seth Kwame Boateng reported that the president visited the Sunyani Central market to interact with the market women and thanked them for their support during the death of late president John Mills.
The elated market folks, according to Seth, appealed to the president to expand the market since it was originally built to accommodate only sixty people. He said Mr Mahama promised to consult the appropriate authorities to ensure their request was met.
The president then moved to the Jubilee Park to address the chiefs and people of the region.
