All ten regional party chairmen of the NDC have pledged their support for the candidacy of Professor Mills for the 2012 general elections. This comes in the wake of media speculation that former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings intention to contest the flagbearership of the party.The Party chairmen gave their endorsement when they conferred with President Mills at the castle, Osu. Speaking on behalf of the party chairmen the Greater Accra Chairman of the NDC Emmanuel Ade Coker said the party is focused on it’s agenda of a better Ghana of which they the Party chairmen are proud to be part.President Mills said he will always remain focus on pursuing policies that are of best interest to Ghanaians and will not be sway by detractors. He stated that he will never fail on the promises that he made to Ghanaians that saw his election to the office of the President.The National Party Chairman of the NDC Dr Kwabena Adjei said this is the time that the party needs the support of all to back the President to achieve the better Ghana agenda. He said internal bickering and fighting for position in the party now will not augur well for the party.Source: GBC
