The President John Evans Atta Mills on Tuesday sworn-in an eleven member Armed Forces Council to oversee the activities of the institution.
The Council as stipulated by the 1992 Constitution is chaired by the Vice-president, John Dramani Mahama, and has ten other members as follows;

Hon Cletus Avoka
Major General P.A Blay
Major General JN Adinkra
Real Admirel M. Quarshie
Air Vice Marshall M Sampson OJ
Brigadier General Wallace Gbedemah rtd
Lt General JH Smith

Mr. Adu Yaw Samuel.
Meanwhile, the President is to begin a three day official visit to the UK on Wednesday. He is to be accompanied by a 25 man entourage made up of ministers, journalists, and security personnel.
The President is expected to hold economic discussions with prime minister Gordon Brown.
