The presidential candidates of the various political parties have put active campaigning on hold to celebrate Easter.The flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo is spending the holidays in Kwahu where he is not doing any active campaign.The communications Director of Nana Addo’s campaign, Dr. Arthur Kennedy told Joy News that the NPP flag bearer spoke to party supporters wherever they grouped themselves but was not engaged in any serious campaigning.The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Mills joined worshippers at the Word Miracle Church International (WMCI), at Dzorwulu in Accra, to celebrate Easter.Earlier he issued a statement exhorting all Ghanaians to avoid acts that were inimical to the country’s peace and stability especially during the December elections.The Communication Director of his campaign, Mr. Kweku Anyidoho told Joy News that Prof. Mills moved to the Central Region to interact briefly with some people immediately after church.The Convention People’s Party flag bearer, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom said he had spent the holidays attending a festival at Agortime in the Volta Region.He told Joy News he attended Church at Takoradi and would be interacting with fishermen at Cape Coast.This year’s Easter for him was different as he did not celebrate it with his children in the United States as is usually the case.
