Reverend Emmanuel Barigah, Head Pastor of Global Evangelical Church (GEC) at Fiave in Ho, has urged religious leaders to preach peace, love and unity to enable the country maintain its focus on development throughout the year.
Reverend Barigah gave this exhortation in a New Year message on the theme: "Launching into the deep Sea".
He noted that the year 2008 was a critical period for the country, requiring the "re-order" of priorities.
"We Christians must work hard this year and do the right thing at the right time', Reverend Barigah said.
He asked Christians to periodically evaluate their spiritual and socio-economic lives to be able to make the most out of every opportunity in the year.
Reverend Noble James Tulasi, Head Pastor of the Jubilee Christian Centre urged Christians to love one another unconditionally as Jesus Christ did for all mankind.
Preaching on the theme: "Advancement, Ownership and Achievement", he said Christ-like love would ensure peace, unity and development in the country.Source: GNA
