A pressure group with strong ties to the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), has filed a formal complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service, demanding thorough investigations into a recording it attributes to National Youth Organiser of the NPP, Anthony Karbo.
Spokesperson for the Research and Advocacy Platform, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, told Joy News they were also furnishing some foreign embassies with copies of the petition and the recordings.
He claimed the comments contained in the tape were explosive and had the potential to undermine Ghana’s peace and security.
The petition was received by Director-General of the CID, COP Prosper Agblorh, who has declined comment for now.
Meanwhile NPP youth Organiser, Anthony Karbo in a press release has denied he is the one purported to be on the tape and accuses the ruling NDC of a ‘desperate attempt at political equalisation’.
