Ghana has suffered a major embarrassment at the All Africa Junior Championship in the Burkinabe capital Ougadougou, which got underway today.Ghana’s 17-man contingent missed the first round of the 100m event because they had not arrived in the Burkinabe capital at the start of the competition. The team’s failure to arrive on time was due to the late release of funds by government for the trip. The Chairman of the Ghana Athletics Association Sandy Osei lamented the missed opportunity and said it was a bad lesson for the youngsters who must be taught the appropriate lessons for them to face the future sufficiently.
