Prof. Agyeman Badu Akosa, the runner-up to Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom at last weekend’s Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Delegates’ Congress in Kumasi is to document his experiences in a book.
Prof. Akosa, a Professor of Pathology at the University of Ghana Medical School, and immediate past Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), says his first attempt at standing for election as flag bearer of the CPP, the party he was born and bred into is worth a book for the benefit of Ghanaians.
He also said, he believes the book would be useful to students of political science.
Speaking to Super Morning Show Host, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Tuesday, December 18th, 2007, he said, he entered the race so he could become president of Ghana to make life better for most Ghanaians.
He said, what has been happening in Ghana’s politics has been the case where politicians deliberately keep Ghanaians poor so they can go to them every four years and ask for their votes.
He lamented the situation in which the country has found itself, with politicians getting a little richer and Ghanaians getting poorer.
Speaking of the CPP congress itself, he said, it was a very successful congress and going by the excitement that filled the atmosphere, he sees that as a revival of the CPP.
