The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has denied reports that the flag bearer of the party, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills is raising funds in South Africa to support his campaign in the 2008 general elections.
Mr Kwaku Anyidoho, the Communications Director of Prof. Mills’ campaign team said the purpose of the meetings was to establish business contacts that could be exploited to support the economy of the country should the NDC win the election.
Mr Anyidoho said the party was not cash trapped in that the Prof. did not go to South Africa cup in hand.
Prof. Mills has spent two weeks in South Africa and is reported to be meeting with leaders of the ruling African National Congress Party.
He is also using the visit to take medical check-ups.
