Professor John Atta Mills, presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Election 2008, would start a five-day visit to the Ashanti Region on December 16 to interact with functionaries, activists and supporters of the party.
During the visit he would engage in house-to-house and door-to-door campaign to enlighten residents of the region on his vision and plans for the nation.
A statement said the visit would be his first official visit to the region since he was given the mandate last year.
It said Prof Mills would interact with some economic and social groups and would address a rally at the Konadu Yiadom School Park at Ash-Town in Kumasi.
