Prudential Bank and its Managing Director, Bernard Gyebi, picked up two prestigious awards for outstanding leadership and commitment to customer satisfaction at the 5th National Governance and Business Leadership Awards held in Accra.
The Bank won the Customer Happiness Leadership Award – Banking Category, while Mr Gyebi was named Transformational Banking CEO of the Year, 2025.
Reacting to the double win, Mr Gyebi expressed delight and gratitude, saying:
“We are thrilled to have received these awards, and we dedicate this achievement to our valued customers, without whom this would not have been possible. Your loyalty and trust have driven our success, and we remain committed to delivering exceptional experiences for you.”
The awards ceremony, organised by The Governance & Business Boardroom, publishers of The Boardroom magazine, recognises and celebrates excellence in leadership and corporate governance.
The event was graced by Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff, who was the special guest of honour.

A delegation from the Bank, led by the Executive Head of Retail and Commercial Banking, Ebow Quayson, and the Executive Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, Edward Commey, received the awards on behalf of the Bank.
This is not the first time Prudential Bank has been recognised for customer satisfaction. Past honours include:
- CIMG 2023 Best Bank in Customer Satisfaction – Consumer Banking
- CIMG 2023 Five-Star Bank in Customer Satisfaction – Business Banking
- CIMG 2023 Five-Star Bank in Service Quality – Business Banking
- CIMG 2021 and 2022 Five-Star Quality Service Provider
Other awards include:
- Best Bank in Retail Banking in the KPMG Customer Experience Survey (2024)
- 3rd Best Bank in SME Banking in the KPMG Customer Experience Survey (2023)
- Emerging Digital Bank of the Year (2022), awarded by both the Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA) and ICSA Connected Banking West Africa
