Public sector workers in the teaching and health sector have complained to Asempa Fm’s Ekosii-Sen that they have been waiting for their salaries as the yuletide approaches but it has not been issued by the Accountant General’s Department.
Speaking on Asempa Fm’s Ekosii-Sen on Thursday, Raphael Kwasi Tuffour noted that ”we paid all public sector workers on the 19th and 20th this year but the ones left to be settled are three months arrears to paid for teachers.
He stressed that even all public sector workers who were put on the single spine pay policy have been settled already. “I want all the public sector workers to know that the Accountant General has paid all the public sector workers already. Some were paid on the 19th and 20th of this month and it is true”.
He asserted that though the complains from the workers may be legitimate “I would like to tell them it has been released to their banks”.
