The Prosperity Vision Party (PVP) has officially introduced its flagbearer, Augustine Edem Kobby Toussaint, at a grand ceremony held at the University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UniMAC-IJ) in Accra.
The event, which drew party members, students, and supporters, marked the beginning of PVP’s bid to become a key player in Ghana’s political landscape.
Mr Toussaint, in his acceptance speech, pledged to focus on economic revival, education reform, agricultural development, healthcare improvement, and the fight against corruption.
He described his nomination as a victory not just for himself, but for every Ghanaian seeking change.
"Our country stands at a crossroads, and it is time for bold ideas, fresh leadership, and a party that truly understands the needs of the people," he declared.
The unveiling event coincided with International Women’s Day, and Mr Toussaint took the opportunity to highlight the role of women in nation-building.
He assured that PVP would champion gender equality and inclusivity at all levels of leadership.
PVP Chairperson, Barbara Akosua Konadu and General Secretary Sheila Abena Attigila also addressed the gathering, calling for unity and urging members to support Toussaint’s vision for national development.
Following the ceremony, enthusiastic party members and supporters paraded through the streets of Dzorwulu in a float, signaling their commitment to the PVP cause.
With this unveiling, the Prosperity Vision Party has set the stage for an intense political season, as it seeks to establish itself as a formidable contender in Ghana’s upcoming elections.
