PricewaterhouseCoopers (Ghana) Limited has announced at their launch the establishment of the PwC Business School. The Business School which is positioned as a flagship executive training institution aims at developing and honing management, leadership and corporate governance skills of business and public sector leaders in Ghana.
The PwC Business School will also cater especially to the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana.
Mr. Suresh Kana, Territory Senior Partner (“TSP”), PwC Africa noted that the establishment of the Business School will provide an excellent opportunity for business executives to acquire new skills to become more competitive in the global market.
Felix Addo, Country Senior Partner also believes the PwC Business School fills a critical niche in the Ghanaian and West African market in relation to the provision of cutting-edge executive training.
Mr Addo believes the same world-class standards that Ghanaian businesses and public sector entities have come to associate the PwC brand with, will characterize everything the Business School does as well.
The PwC Business School will harness the international experience of PwC experts and other global faculty to deliver a wide range of business insights and knowledge-based programmes on topics spanning corporate governance, corporate reporting and accounting, tax planning, sustainability, integrated reporting; as well as customer and service management.
George Arhin, the PwC partner in charge of the Business School also envisions the Business School as developing into an effective training institution with the strong emphasis on superior value delivery.
The School is not a traditional academic institution, such as those offering MBA and bachelors’ degrees, but will in the spirit of being a training academy, provide professionals in Ghana with skills and core competencies needed to reach their full working potential.
