Jonathan Quartey scored a goal for his South Africa side, Kaizer Chiefs in their friendly with new European Champions, Manchester United on Saturday.
Kaizer Chiefs took the lead through their Ghanaian international but United rallied back to equalize to finish the game 1-1 in the opening match of the Vodacom Challenge played at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
Quartey, a former AshantiGold player, scored from a spot-kick in the 37th minute after Gary Neville had fouled Kaizer player.
Kaizer Chiefs held onto their lead until the English champions equalized in the 59th minute when Chris Eagles headed in a cross by Carlos Tevez.
