Ghana will need a win against Tunisia on Saturday in the African Women Championships to help the Black Queens keep their hopes of landing a semi-final place alive.
After a rather good start to the Championship, the Black Queens have had to contend with their present predicament following a surprise defeat to South Africa on Wednesday.
For the Black Queens, their work is simply cut out. They need a win against the debutants, Tunisia while hoping that table toppers, South African maintain their unbeaten run when they clash with Nigeria.
Two sides qualify from each group to the next round of the Championship, which is the semi-finals.
Ghana will play their final group game against Tunisia in Malabo.
The Black Queens are seeking to one of the four sides in the semi-finals who stand the chance of ending Nigeria’s dominance on the continent.
Nigeria, five-time champions, have emerged winners in all previous editions spanning a 10-year period but have struggled to get off their campaign on a good start, needing a win to pick a last four place.
