A rainstorm that hit Brakwa in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa district has destroyed property worth millions of cedis.It destroyed buildings and rendered about 40 people homeless.Six people who sought shelter at the church of Pentecost Central Assembly sustained various degrees of injuries when the building collapsed on them with Mr Isaac Yeboah, 50, still on admission at Breman Asikuma and the rest treated and discharged.The primary six classroom of the Roman Catholic basic school which serves as Basic Examination Certificate Examination was not spared as it had its roof ripped off.Other buildings affected included the Presbyterian Church, the palace for Twafohene and about 15 private houses.Meanwhile some of the buildings which received minor damages have been repaired while some victims are putting up with relatives.The victims appealed to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for assistance to get them out of their problem.Source: GNA
