Ghanaian hiphop artiste D-Black, born Desmond Blackmore, has announced that he is set to open his own night club.
The announcement is coming just two days after Ghana’s number one DJ, DJ Black, born Kwadwo Ampofo, said he is a terrible rapper but his business acumen is superb.
With several business interests already under his sleeves, D-Black announced Monday that he has acquired a new nightclub, ONYX at the Airport Residential area of Accra.
Although he did not give the exact date for the opening, the rapper hinted that it will be officially opened for business in three months time.
The ‘Vera’ hit singer said in a video that: “Whassup everybody, today I informally announce the acquisition and opening of the brand new Club ONYX, a new nightclub venture I’ve taken on!!”
The rapper said “We about to change the nightlife scene in Accra with the beautifully plush night club which is set to open in the next 3 months with some of the continent's finest DJs on the decks and incredible hosting services!!”
“So ladies and gentlemen I present to you Club ONYX, the soon to be opened night spot where revelers can enjoy their drink & music, in a relaxed but a musically hyper and recharged environ. Grand Opening loading!!!” he concluded.
D-Black, among other things, owns Black Avenue Music, Black Avenue Films, a Clothing line and is currently the brand ambassador for Ciroc in Ghana.
