Former president Jerry John Rawlings has arrived at the Baba Yara sports stadium where the National Delegates’ Congress of the breakaway National Democratic Party (NDP) is being held.
He arrived with his wife, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings who is tipped to emerge the flagbearer of the party.
Luv FM’s Kwabena Ampratwum, who is at the venue described the atmosphere as electric, saying hundreds of delegates and supporters clad in the party’s T-shirts, have arrived too.
He said some of the delegates’ are also angry with organisers for not taking good care of them. Some, he reported, claim to have slept out in the open due to poor planning and arrangement by the organisers.
