Former President J.J. Rawlings, accompanied by his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings left Accra Tuesday night to London en-route to Los Angeles, California to participate in the GLOBAL PEACE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT being held from 3 - 7, October under the auspices of the African Diaspora Foundation in association with the African Marketplace and the African Travel Association.The purpose of the Peace Leadership Summit is to raise awareness of the devastating impact of conflict in Africa and around the world. The Summit is intended to design an agenda for the 21st century on how mankind can agree to develop a system and means of communication that will foster reconciliation and peace in Africa and the global world.After the Summit in California, The former President and Mrs Rawlings will participate in the African Diaspora Heritage Trail Foundation Conference to be held in Nassau, The Bahamas from 10 - 14, October.Source: GHP
