Spokesperson for the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams has denied flatly a Crystal Clear Lens newspaper report that the differences between the Rawlingses and President Mills have been resolved.
The Crystal Clear Lens newspaper in its Monday, April 23, 2012 edition published a story headlined ‘At last; Rawlings, government unite for massive victory in December 7th 2012’.
But Kofi Adams said as Spokesperson for the former first family, he has no idea where and when a meeting was fixed to settle the differences between the two.
Kofi Adams who is challenging his suspension as the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, said no such meeting or unity talk has taken place.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Monday, Kofi Adams said such reports by a section of the media are just to cause mischief, adding, the Rawlingses will never fall prey to this kind of mischief.
There has been bad blood between the founder of the NDC and the current leaders of the party and the Mills’ administration.
Mr. Rawlings has consistently criticized the Mills-Mahama administration and recently accused it of fast speeding the country into an abyss.
Notwithstanding this, Kofi Adams noted that those who need to lead the unity talks have ignored their duty but have decided to play mischief by running the Rawlingses down. This he said, will not augur well for the party.
