The Ghana Football Association has banned referee Franklin Cobbina for one year with immediate effect for gross display of professional incompetence and also for refusing to appear before the Match Review Panel.
The Executive Committee banned the referee on Thursday after he failed to honour an invitation and several calls by the Match Review Panel.
Mr. Cobbina was to answer on his performance in the match between Guan United and Bechem United in the just-ended Zone 1 Middle League.
The ban notwithstanding, he would have to appear before the Match Review Panel to answer on his performance in the said match before he can be reinstated as a referee.
