Access to education still remains a big problem for inhabitants of Old Fadama, popularly known as Sodom and Gomorrah, a situation which makes thousands of children there risk growing up unable to read and write.
Although a few volunteers are setting up schools for the deprived community there are concerns over the quality of teaching and learning offered.
For Joy FM's Slum Radio Project Fiifi Koomson visited the community and reports many children could grow up becoming unlettered.
