North Mo Traditional Council in the Savanna Region has inducted the Paramount Chief of the Jama Traditional Area, Nnaa Professor Lanjagor Karley, and the queen mother of Chibrinyua Akuma, Nnaa Telebana Beweleju, as members of the council.
The induction came with the call on chiefs to resist chieftaincy disputes.
The event took place at Bamboi in the Bole District and brought together chiefs who are gazetted members of the North Mo Traditional Council.

Delivering an induction speech, the Acting President of the North Mo Traditional Council, Nnaa Akangbon Kintor, commended the newly inducted members for their legal recognition.
‘‘Your legal recognition as members of our council now means your traditional areas have relegated all forms of chieftaincy disputes, so it is a good development for us,'' he stated.
Nnaa Kintor said the council is counting on the expertise of the newly inducted members towards the socio-economic growth of the various traditional areas under North Mo.

He explained, ''You have the right to participate with your innovative ideas in key decision-making process during our council meetings’’.
Nnaa Kintor urged the inducted members to be peacemakers and development-oriented, regardless of the challenges that might confront them.
The Paramount Chief of Jama Traditional Area, Nnaa Professor Lanjagor Karley, expressed his excitement to be selected, introduced and inducted into the North Mo Traditional Council.
‘‘Before I came here, I have been gazetted by the National House of Chiefs, so I am grateful to them and the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs for facilitating the process,’’ he said.

Nnaa Professor Karley pledged his maximum support to unite the people of North Mo for accelerated development.
He further promised to effectively collaborate with all chiefs within the North Mo area to implement strategic policies and programmes to achieve quality education.
He intimated, ''I wish North Mo Traditional Area will become a beacon of education and development to affect Mo in general, and the Savannah region at large''.
