My heart skipped a beat, and chills run down my spine when I heard about the death of Lucy Adoma Yeboah of Daily Graphic.
I was her Biology teacher at Tweneboa Kodua Secondary School at Kumawu, Ashanti, in 1977-79. She was a very vibrant, strong, intelligent, cheerful, diligent and cheerful girl, and a Christian who feared God. Lucy was an ideal student.
No wonder she excelled academically and professionally. She was very active in the Scripture Union group of the school, and attentively imbibed the variety of the tons of Biblical-based messages I gave them at SU and at school morning devotions and Sunday evening services, as the SU Patron and Acting School Chaplain.
Lucy will be very missed indeed. We have really lost a gem in the journalism and female excellence arena. She is unique and irreplaceable.
On behalf of all the past Teachers and Staff plus students of Kumawu TKSS, we wish the close family as well as the extended family of Daily Graphic, friends, and old schoolmates the comfort and strength of the Lord at this difficult time.
We pray that Lucy's example will be emulated, and trust that her legacy will live on. May the Lord bless us all.
