Singer, songwriter and producer Reynolds The Gentleman has released a new song titled 'Painkillers'.
According to him, the song is a simple but serious conversation between lovers who have lost the spark and are dealing with depression, which comes with questioning oneself during heartbreak.
Reynolds The Gentleman added that these lovers may not have the answer to every question in their heads when they talk but they at least get their worries and doubt out of their chest in the song.
“We all know love is a good remedy for pain but like all medicines, love sometimes loses its potency. We intend losing focus of what's important and try to use other things to distract ourselves, so we don't feel the piercing effects but reality checks in and we feel the pain more,” he said in an interview.
The ‘Oyiwa’ singer thanked his friend and songwriter David Addo Gyan for helping him put his thoughts and emotions to words.
The video was shot on an iPhone 8plus by John Adjeman and Joshua Adjeman. It was edited by KojoGraphy and 3nitypiktures.
‘Painkillers’ was produced and directed by Reynolds The Gentleman
The song is out on all digital platforms including iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer and others.
