rlg Communication Ltd, a subsidiary of the AGAMS Group of Companies has appointed 2006 GJA Television News Reporter, Mr Emmanue1 J.K Arthur, as its Corporate Affairs Manager.
His appointment is part of an ongoing reorganisation of the corporate affairs and legal outfit of the company, which is regarded as one of the fastest growing lCT firms on the continent.
rig is a Ghanaian-owned company engaged in the production of communications equipment such as mobile handset, electronic notebooks, tablets, laptops, and LCD TV monitors.
The company also engages in capacity building and training programmes in collaboration with the government.
It currently has offices in China, Nigeria and The Gambia and is considering entering more countries soon.
Mr Arthur began his public relations career in 2009, when he was appointed the Senior Communications Officer for the Ghana office of World Vision International, the largest advocacy, relief and development NGO globally.
He moved on to the Postal and Courier Services Regulatory Commission, the state regulator for the postal and courier industry as ,the pioneer Consumer Affairs and Public Relations Manager after helping the setting up of the unit.
A journalist by profession, Mr Arthur comes to rlg with more than a decade of experience in journalism, public relations and regulatory practices.
He previously worked as Head of the Political, Parliamentary and Governance Desk at TV3 Network Limited and as News Sub Editor with the Multimedia Group Ltd.
Mr Arthur was once the Press and information Officer for the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) and served on the Government-NUGS Students Loan Negotiation Team.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from the University of Ghana, Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and Certificate in Investigative Journalism from the World Bank Institute in Washington DC.
Mr Arthur has won a number of awards, including the Ziam Yaan Tol Media Award for Reproductive Health and Advocacy from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and 2006 Best Television News Reporter Award from the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).
He is a member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR-Ghana), the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the International Club of Journalists for Children's Club (ICJCR).
