Roma moved up to third in Serie A after they drew against second-placed AC Milan at Stadio Olimpico.
The visitors took the lead in the 62nd minute when Luka Modric's brilliant whipped delivery into the box was headed home by Koni de Winter.
But Lorenzo Pellegrini equalised from the spot for Roma with 16 minutes remaining after a handball from Davide Bartesaghi was punished.
Niclas Fullkrug, on loan for the hosts from West Ham, headed over the bar in the 90th minute with neither side able to land the crucial second goal.
The result sent Gian Piero Gasperini's side above defending champions Napoli, who were beaten 3-0 by fifth-placed Juventus, while Milan are five points behind leaders Inter.
Roma travel to the Greek side Panathinaikos on Thursday (20:00 GMT) in the final match of the Europa League league phase as they aim to finish in the top eight and avoid the play-offs.
