The Right Reverend Bishop Dr. Godfred N. K. Zormelo, of the AME Zion Church, has commended workers of the Awutu Effutu Senya District branch of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for their hard work and commitment to national goals.
Rt. Rev. Bishop Dr. Zormelo was interacting with the Public Relations Officer of the Awutu Effutu Senya District Scheme, Mr. Joseph Yaw Owusu-Kwarteng at Winneba on the operations of the Scheme in the area.
He said reports reaching the church indicated that workers of the scheme were devoted and deeply committed to the aims and objectives of the scheme.
Rt. Rev. Bishop Dr. Zormelo maintained that, considering the huge number of students and workers of the University of Education in the area, one would have thought that workers of the scheme would be found wanting in coping with the situation there.
But this, Rt. Rev. Bishop Dr. Zormelo contended, had proved otherwise, meaning that workers of the scheme ably supported by their Board of Directors have proved equal to the test.
Rt. Rev. Bishop Dr. Zormelo however, warned the NHIS workers in the area against complacency, saying that such an attitude might erode the credible performance they had put up in the past two years to sustain the scheme.
He advised members of the A. M. E. Zion Church in the district and other parts of the country who had not registered with the scheme to do so immediately to assist them in times of crises.
Rt. Rev. Bishop Dr. Zormelo further charged Christians to declare this year 'Malaria Free' period by adopting clean and decent domestic and environmental cleanliness to back the national malaria control crusade.Source: GNA
