Saeed Ali Yaqub, affectionately known as ‘Ali Ali’ or ‘Alhaji’, joined the Multimedia Group in 1998 as a Broadcast Journalist and by dint of hard work, rose to become the News Editor for the Kumasi Team (Luv FM and Nhyira FM), a position he held till his untimely death on Saturday, 15th August 2020.
Saeed is described by those who knew him as humble and respectful, irrespective of who he dealt with.
He was a great teacher and groomed many young talents into giants in the media landscape.
Notable among his countless mentees are Seth Kwame Boateng, Erastus Asare Donkor, Ohemeng Tawiah, Elton-John Brobbey, Sampson Lardy Ayenini, Media General’s Northern Sector Bureau Chief, Kofi Adu Domfeh, Kwabena Owusu Ampretwum of Chirano Gold Mines and many others too numerous to mention.
He is survived by two daughters.
