The Ga Traditional Council has suspended Numo Ogbarmey III, Sakumo Wulomo, from the Council with immediate effect.
A letter signed by Ms. Agnes Koranteng, Assistant Registrar of the Council, said the decision to suspend Numo Ogbarmey was unanimous.
The letter reads: "I am directed to inform you that the Ga Traditional Council at its recent meeting held on Friday April 20, 2007 unanimously decided and agreed that due to your continuous absence from the Council's meetings for a sustained period and noting with dismay the number of activities you have been engaged in resulting in public insecurity and unrest, you are hereby suspended indefinitely from the Council with immediate effect.”
It adds: "In consequence of the suspension, your actions of whatever nature during the period shall not be recognized by the Traditional Council."
