SAMBA Foods Limited is set to become the first indigenous food and spicy processing company to list on the Alternate Market of the Ghana Stock Exchange.
The listing has been aided by its successful public offering to raise some about 2.5 million Ghana Cedis shares after floating a little over 3 million shares.
Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, Ekow Afedzi says the market is the place for small businesses.
“The longer the keep waiting, the more problems they have in terms of solving some of the financial problems of growing companies.”
A financial institution IZWE loans has already listed on the Alternate Market. Two other companies, Intravenous Infusion and Educational Institution Meridian Marshalls are also working to list on the Market.
