Ghana’s Afro-reggae/dancehall sensation and MOBO award winning artiste, Emmanuel Andrew Samini, known in showbiz as Samini has disclosed that he is currently looking at producing beats for his songs.
Samini who launched his fourth album, CEO, last Saturday said the 18th track, Yensa which features Kwaw Kese, on the album was his first trial with his own beat and hopes to do that in subsequent albums.
Speaking on Day Break Hitz on Hitz FM Tuesday, Samini said he wanted to prove to people that he has studied it in school and has qualified.
“I did one beat that I produced myself after music school; I need to prove that I have done it and qualified so I want people to hear it and tell me what they think about it...I did the premix of it (the beat) and Red Eye (an engineer of 2 Toff fame) did the mastering of it,” he said.
Samini recently travelled to the UK to pursue a course in Professional Music Production at the Point Blank Music College in London and this move could be the fruits of his course there.
Touching on news making rounds that he has been signed on to One8, an African music project, the multiple award winning artiste denied knowledge of his association with the project saying the first time he heard of it was when a publication was published that he was about to sign on onto the group.
“Up to now, I don’t know what One8 group stands for and I don’t know the projection...,” he stressed.
Samini released his first album, Dankwansere, which had the hit song Linda in 2004. That album was followed by Samini in 2006, Dagaati in 2008.
His CEO album has 18 tracks and features 2Face, M.I., Kwaw Kese, Sonny Balli, Pat Thomas, SK Blinks and R2Bees.
