The 1995-year group of Adisadel College has cut sod to build a 300-capacity ultra-modern Science laboratory to boost Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education.
The move, according to the group is to shore up the school’s infrastructural deficit at Adisadel College in Cape Coast and ultimately make the school stand out as far as STEM education is concerned in Ghana.
President of the 1995-year group of Adisadel College, Emmanuel Eduah Offoh, says the group’s motivation is to take STEM education to a different level in the school.

“Our motivation is to make Adisadel College stand out among its peers in terms of STEM education,” he said.
The school’s current laboratory has the capacity to take 25 students but the current facility that is going to be built will have a capacity for 300 students.
Santa 95 intimates they were motivated by the NMSQ competition which Adisadel College won in 2016 and decided to do something to help the school to continue excelling in such competitions and more importantly, for the students to be conversant with the practicality of what is taught them.
“Theory alone will not help our students. They need the practical as well. Today marks a new page in the life of Adisadel college and its sciences,” he stated.
The headmaster of the school, Francis Kwame Agbedanu, thanked Santa 95 for their thoughts and efforts in ensuring that the school fared well. He said the facility would help the school a great deal because the school currently needs infrastructural support to enable it to admit students for the next academic year.
“We don’t have the facilities to enable us to deal with the pressure of admissions. We need 17 classrooms to be able to admit students in the next academic year and this facility will reduce our burden,” he averred.
The ceremony was under the auspices of George Jerry Hanson, the Regional President of the Past students of Adisadel College and many Santa 95 year group.
