Coach J.E Sarpong is confident he will keep Liberty Professionals in the top-flight of Ghana football after taking over at the club.
The Dansoman based club have been forced to act on the technical front after slipping into the bottom three of the league and in danger of being relegated after more than a decade in the top flight.
Now the experienced Sarpong who has been around the Ghana premier league scene for more than a decade is the man Liberty are looking to steady the ship.
And after taking his first training session with the club on Monday he sounded very confident that they will stay up. Sarpong said: "Liberty is not the sort of club that should be battling relegation and whatever it takes on the field to get that done, it has to be done. I am very confident we will stay up."
Sarpong reckons his key challenge will be blending some of the raw finest talents in the country with the experience now littered all over the pitch at Liberty.
And he will have many of those to choose from. Former Black Stars left back Addoquaye Pappoe, former Olympic team captain Michael Helegbe and former Asante Kotoko striker Mark Adu Amofa are all available to the club as they look to turn their season around.
