Samara Company Limited, producers of Sasso Insecticide Spray and Coil, last weekend at the 4^th West Africa Regional Magazine Achievers Awards, won three award.

The event came off on Saturday, October 17, Lagos, Nigeria; where Sasso emerged as Best Insecticide Brand of the year; Emerging Group of the year; and the Overall Achiever of the year, specifically awarded to the Executive Chairman of Sasso, Mr. Samson Effah Apraku.

The award ceremony was held on the theme: "Agriculture in Poverty Alleviation And Economy Development"

The publisher of the West Africa Regional Magazine, Ms. Rossette Aliu, said the award was instituted in 2012, to celebrate businesses and individuals who have excelled in their fields of businesses in African.

“We put this award in place in 2012 in order to celebrate those who have excelled in their fields of businesses in making Africa a successful continent and to encourage others to attain greater height,” Ms Aliu stated.

The Executive Chairman of Sasso, Mr. Samson Effah Apraku, in a brief statement, dedicated the awards to the hardworking staff and management of Sasso, saying "it is the team work spirit of the Sasso management and staff that has brought the brand this far.”

He also dedicated the awards to Ghanaians, saying they have been loyal to the Sasso brand, which has earned the Sasso brand the number one place on the Ghanaian market.

Mr. Apraku said that the three awards are manifestations of improved service to be rendered to Ghanaians, and hinted that soon, the brand will be introduced onto the Nigerian market.

The Marketing Manager of Sasso, Mr. Sedrick Nartey Ologo, thanked Ghanaian for their loyalty towards the Sasso brand which has contributed to the Company’s success.

"To be recognized at the sub-regional level is a greater achievement which we at Sasso are so proud of," an elated Mr. Ologo said.

He stated that the awards are going to motivate the management and staff of the company to work harder in serving the good people of Ghana.

Mr. Ologo hinted that the Sasso brand will soon be established in Nigeria, saying "It is time for Nigerians to have a taste of the effective Sasso brand".

Since 2014, Sasso has gained recognition from both the private and public sectors. At the recently held Head of State Award by the government of Ghana, Sasso won the Fastest Growing Company of the year.

Other awards include: Top Emerging Brand of the year and Fastest Growing Company of the year by Premier Brand Ghana; making a total of seven awards in all between 2014 and 2015.
