Assistant coach of Ghana's Under-20 team Orlando Wilson has defended the technical team's decision to leave out Hearts of Oak's wonder kid Tawrick Jibril from the team.
He explains that his exclusion is to cut down the already intensified competition for roles in the team's attacking department.
The 16-year-old has shown promising prospects of playing top-tier football but has been overlooked by the handlers of the Black Satellites.
The technical team has been criticized for deliberately shutting the door on me.
But Orlando Wilson told Ghanasoccernet in a reply that:"Tawrick is a wonderful player but at the moment more than three players are playing his position and we think they are also equally good as him."
"But the door has not been shut on him and we will consider him in the future if his services are needed.
"Let us not rush him. He is a young kid and is one for the future. But like I said, he is not needed at the moment."
Jibril has been a revelation since joining Hearts of Oak two seasons ago and once played for the local Black Stars in the qualifiers to the just concluded CHAN tournament.
