The Atwima-Nwabiagya District Director of Education, Mr Eddy Obeng-Darko has advised management of educational institutions to avoid animosity and create healthy rapport between them and their subordinates to enhance peace and tranquility.
This, he said, would promote industrial harmony and stability.
Mr Obeng-Darko was speaking at a farewell ceremony organised in his honour by the Atwima-Nwabiagya and Mponua District Education directorates at Nkawie on his retirement from the Ghana Education Service (GES) after 35 years' service.
Teachers in the two districts presented him with a new Opel Vectra saloon car costing ¢120 million.
Mr Obeng-Darko said public institutions could maximise production if managements exhibited a high sense of humility, tolerance, patience and good rapport with their subordinates and other clients.
He expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the teachers and other well wishers for the honour done him and expressed the hope that the gesture would be extended to his successor.Source GNA
