The security services on Wednesday embarked on an exercise to assure the public that they are well equipped to deal with possible outbreak of violence following the Supreme Court's judgment on the disputed 2012 elections. Comprising the various units of the Ghana Armed Forces, the Police Service among others, the security agencies are serving warning to youth groups and others who will want to engage in violence to protest judges’ ruling that they [security personnel] are ready to crack down on them. Joy News' Beatirce Adu who was with the security personnel said they are moving through some principal streets of Accra to show their preparedness for the task ahead. She said as part of the exercise, the personnel also demonstrated some armouries to indicate their readiness to deal with any violence outbreak. The exercise is said to be taking place across the 10 regions of the country.
