The pardoned Member of Parliament for Ketu Mr. Dan Abodakpi has appealed to his constituents to send the ruling NPP into the bush by voting massively for the NDC in the December elections.
He urged people who have attained the age of 18 to register when the voter’s register is opened to enable them to vote.
Mr. Abodakpi was speaking at a rally to welcome him back from jail.
The President over the weekend pardoned the Keta MP who was serving a ten-year jail term for causing financial loss of some $400,000 to the State. .
But after serving barely two years of the sentence the President remitted the rest of the sentence.
The freed MP says his constituents should vote for his party, the National Democratic Congress in the 2008 general elections.
The Ketu constituents were elated with Mr. Abodakpi’s release and thanked the President for his kind gesture.
They however told Joy News that they believed their MP was innocent.
Meanwhile Mr. Abodakpi has vowed to clear his name of the charges that sent him to jail and is currently in court appealing against his conviction.
