Residents of parts of Tarkwa, Simpa, Bonsa and Dompim have since February 03 been without electricity and water.
They said this is affecting their businesses and many small scale businesses are collapsing.
Mr. Benjamin Kesse, the assembly member-elect for Dompim, told the GNA in an interview that the power outage had affected students while their community clinic cannot function at night.
Mr. Ebenezer Addy, Tarkwa District Manager of ECG, said the power outage was as a result of a broken down transformer and this had affected the supply of water to most parts of Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality.
He said radio announcements had been made to explain the situation and efforts that were being made to solve the problem.
Mr. Addy said it was hoped that a new transformer would be installed at Bonsa to replace the old broken down one.Source: GNA
